My biggest question is: Will companies install Windows 10 in production environments?Īs a side note: If I was rich I would invest in React OS development – basically an open source Windows clone. I don't like Android and iOS and likewise I don't like Windows 10. Now Windows has become like Android and iOS. Microsoft used to create an “open” platform called Windows. They are in a way because of invasive data collection. It is easy to point to Google and Apple and say they are evil. Various fixes but pales in comparison to introduced problems So what does Windows 10 bring to the table:ĭirect X 12 is nice, but so far only a couple of games use itĭesktop switcher – nice but not a killer feature Not suitable for production environment – reasons listed aboveĪdd rude and reckless update policy for Win 7/8 users Many more system services running, more disk and network activity, bigger attack vector Not faster than Win 7 without hibernation/fast start enabled Windows as a Service – meaning Windows 10 will never be final/stable The point is all the problems associated with it.įorced driver updates – potential instability This is kind of a rant, but I felt I had to get these thoughts out of my head:
